Holly's House had been a stockist for a couple of years when the idea of a collaboration came about. The starting point for Ciara & Holly Wick was a shared love of pastels & geometrics proving the perfect inspiration for the blank canvas of WAFFLE.The diagonal designs for this cushion collaboration came about exploring linear, graphic and geometric shapes that appear in architecture, design and surfaces. WAFFLE & FOLKLORE
Folklore was WAFFLE's first stockist. Responsible for catapulting the products forward by awarding Ciara the bursary trade fair stand at HOME in January 2013. At that point the cushions had only been on the shelves a couple of months so it really is thanks to Folklore for kickstarting this whole adventure!
This collaboration came about in AW14. Featuring the Folklore signature palette of neutrals, Ciara & Danielle Reid carefully selected gradients on combinations of navy waffle & a handwoven tan canvas. The full collection is available HERE

This collection taking centre fold position in the esteemed seasonal catalogue, consisted of reversible blankets and cushions in an exclusive colour way for Spring Summer 2015, available in stores throughout the UK and online.
WAFFLE & DECORATOR'S NOTEBOOK
Decorator's notebook is run by Bethan & Joe, the brother & sister team on a mission to prove that ethical and beautiful design can go hand-in-hand. Offering the very best in fair trade, ethical and sustainable design. The WAFFLE collaboration was a limited edition cushion inspired by the Burren in Co. Clare Ireland.
The Burren is a vast rocky plateau in the West of Ireland, from a distance the landscape looks bleak but when you look more closely, you can see all sorts of rare wild flowers growing inside those cracks. The colours of these flowers inspired the embroidery alongside an echo of the texture and tone of the rock in the fabric. This cushion was one of the few selected products to launch the online shop and was shipped globally by Decorator's notebook.

Responsibly sourcing the best natural materials, the base fabric is a soft handwoven, organic cotton. The production of the fabric supports fair trade hand weaving communities in rural India. The hand embroidery and finishing is completed in Ireland.
WAFFLE rugs are made with the finest New Zealand wool and linen. Developed on horizontal looms by skilled craftsmen in India, each piece is individually hand finished. WAFFLE rugs can be personalised in size and colour .
